The 2017 academic year for primary and secondary education kicks off this Tuesday with Zimbabwe Teachers Association calling on the government to ensure that rural teachers get hardship allowances for the level of risk they face, especially during the rainy season.

1119: A family representative is on the podium and describes Cde Chanetsa as a Zimbabwean hero who fought tirelessly for the liberation of Zimbabwe.

1058: The casket carrying the body of Cde Peter Chanetsa has arrived at the National Heroes Acre and will be placed at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

0908: A sizeable crowd has gathered outside Stodart Hall awaiting the arrival of Acting President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

0900: The body of nationalist and national hero Cde Peter Chanetsa has arrived at Stodart Hall in Mbare, Harare.
