Mutare based bus operators have vowed to ensure that the area that they were allocated by the City of Harare to operate from must be punctuated by orderliness.

The corner of fourth street and Robert Mugabe way is being used as a loading area by buses plying the Harare-Mutare route.

The Mutare based operators who held a meeting to find out how best to enhance their operations highlighted how it is key to work closely with members of the public as there have been cases of people having been harassed and forced into buses they did not want to board.

There is serious need to engage with local authorities in order to have mutual beneficial synergies says chairman of the Manicaland Bus Association Cde Esau Mupfumi.

Many cities are grappling with ensuring that there is sanity especially with regards commuter omnibuses and long distance buses, many of which are operating from undesignated areas.
